Welcome to Mazzoli, the Italian Kitchen at the Tyneside Tavern, Haddington.
Our menu is based on the classic principle that food should be made with fresh, quality ingredients, prepared in a simple way. With our strong Italian roots, we have added our own twist to tried and tested recipes from that wonderful country, and we aim to create a range of dishes offering something irresistible for everyone.
Buon Appetito!

THE LEGACY OF MAURIZIO MAZZOLI
Maurizio was born in Parma Italy on the 7 May 1945, the third child of Primo and Erminia Mazzoli.
Educated in Parma, he served his National Service then travelled to Germany to work before a telephone call from his cousin Carlo Campari in Edinburgh brought him to Scotland.
Retiring in 2008, he joined his son Paul and family and worked with them in their restaurant in Haddington. It was at that time that he shared his family recipe for stone-baked pizzas which, of course, we introduced to the menu.
